I miss playing the NHL series it's the only sports title that I would buy on a yearly basis I remember with NHL 10 on PS3 having well over a 1000 online versus games played. I think a solution to this is using cross play to ensure that players counts remain high regardless of platform. In comparison, on consoles that's one of the most popular modes and seasons had a little over 100 players on PC as well. I checked out Fifa 20 a few days last week and both times drop in club games showed 2-6 online players playing that mode.
I think they are hesitant to invest in the PC platform for sports titles considering how quickly the player base seems to die down in the Origin/PC versions of Fifa and Madden compared to consoles.
